Olga Zeller
"Coal is not just a stone. It is millions of years of history compressed into a black diamond. I simply help it become jewelry." — Olga Zeller

Olga Zeller

Born in Karaganda — the mining capital of Kazakhstan — Olga Zeller began her jewelry journey in 2016. Working with polymer clay, natural stones, dried flowers, and leather, she searched for her unique material. In 2019, she found it — Karaganda anthracite coal.

Developing a unique technique of stabilizing coal with jewelry resin, Olga transforms fragile industrial material into durable, skin-safe works of art. Each piece is a tribute to mining heritage and proof that beauty is born from the depths of the earth.

How Coal Becomes Jewelry

01. Hand-selection of high-quality anthracite coal for its lustre and mineral richness.

02. Stabilization with jewelry resin — making coal durable, preventing staining, and ensuring skin safety.

03. Hand-cutting and shaping each element into unique sculptural forms.

04. Final polishing and assembly — birth of a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.

The Craft

"Real Women"

For her Milan Fashion Week shows, Olga deliberately chose not to use professional models. Instead, her friends and acquaintances — real women of various ages and professions — conquered the runway. Because true beauty needs no standards.
